Criminal Investigator Ramon Perez has 33 years of investigative experience. Ramon began his collegiate studies at the University of Texas at Austin where he spent 6 years in a multi discipline study of Electrical Engineering and Molecular biology. He studied two additional years at Texas A&M University located at College Station completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a design Engineer he specialized in forensic failure analysis of static and dynamic systems. His education combined with his twenty years of Engineering experience enabled him to develop critical thinking and problem solving, especially in the area of accident investigation and reconstruction on an industrial scale. In December of 2003, Ramon was hired as a police cadet by the Austin Police Department. He graduated from the 109th police academy in June of 2004 and was awarded the Ernie Hinkle humanitarian award at graduation. Since 2004, Ramon Perez has amassed more than 4000 hours of Law Enforcement studies and certifications, became a Texas Commission Law Enforcement instructor, and earned a Master Peace Officer certification. Ramon Perez also served 10 years with the Pflugerville Police Department as a senior officer. Ramon is still has an active peace officer license and currently serving in law enforcement. In the last 18 years of law enforcement, Ramon has investigated many felonies to include, theft, burglary, homicide, sexual assault, assault causing bodily injury, abuse of the elderly, employment discrimination, police misconduct, and criminal mischief. Ramon also has experience as a threat assessment consultant to corporations and individuals having served such clients as PayPal, Apple, and public schools. Ramon has been married to his wife for 31 years and has five children.
